Mosaic Classes in Stockport
My Teaching Studio is at Broadstone Mill, in Reddish, Stockport, Greater Manchester.
The Studio is stocked with a wide range of materials to inspire you, with a small charge when you take a piece home. Classes are small to ensure personal tuition and are suitable for complete beginners, or those with some art, craft or design experience. I don’t run a course with a set plan - everyone works on their own designs.
Classes run in blocks of 6 weeks. The cost is currently £156, and different groups attend on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon (1-3pm). If you cannot attend your regular group then it is sometimes possible to swap to another day.
There are a variety of techniques and styles I can teach you, led by what you want to make. If you are a beginner I will support you to start a design of your own and most people will finish a small mosaic within the 6 week block.
Please note, you can make a wall piece suitable for display outside but I don’t teach techniques such as mosaic stepping stones or site specific work. All work shown below was made by students who started as beginners in my classes.
